Leg 8

Our return to French Polynesia

On this leg, we plan to re-visit the many islands and nations that we briefly visited on our hectic trip westward. Fiji has 330+ islands (only 1/3 are inhabited) and we visited ONE! The same is true for Tonga and the Cook Islands.

Wings is in a pit (see the last photo from Fiji) at Vuda Marine on the island of Viti Levu in Fiji. When we return to the boat, she will have had a lot of work completed correctly.....we hope! Engine work, sail work, deck work, dinghy repair, and many other repair tasks that cruising boats incur from the conditions found during blue water passages.

We have crew, thankfully: Phil from Friday Harbor, John from here in Anchorage, and Darden from my home town in Alabama. There will always be three people aboard, so the watch schedule will be much more livable.

We'll continue with our blog, of course, and continue posting photos as we can.
