Photos from Life on Raiatea

There is no theme to these, just photos from life on Raiatea as we've been working for these three weeks.

I mentioned our battery purchase, and this is the little tire/battery shop that we've used many times Why the American flag?

After trimming the extra caulk, this is our newly waterproofed starboard fuel fitting.

We left the little table for five minutes and on return, the cutting board was COVERED in ants!

Pork rinds. I don't think that we ever saw them before. They like pig, so I'm not surprised.

In the yard, we came across this pure racing trimaran. I'll bet it flies! There is no cabin, no place to hang, it's for racing.

Our wonderful rigger, Mathieu, has started a successful rigging service on Raiatea. He's a great guy (Conni has a huge crush) and superb rigger. He just got his mobile shop completed and it looks great.

Lovely Conni at the first spreader. She's an old climber so has no concern about the height. She's efficient and technically proficient. Here's she's installing the port-side spreader boot.

Lovely Conni, lower on the mast, replacing the old lines with new lines for the Lazy Bag system for handling and protecting the main sail.

This is out of sequence, but these are Adva and Lovely Conni. Adva is the young woman who interviewed us two years ago.
