The Bora Bora Fire Dancer This male dancer was an artist with the flaming batons! He performed alone for at least 15 minutes, energetically dancing and twirling a flaming baton, first a single, then a double. "Yes, to show how pretty he was!", Conni exclaimed, as she chose this photo to post. So, here's the pretty dancer. He asked for a light from a smoker in the audience, and off he went. The dance troop circled him as he rose to his tiptoes and sank to his knees, all the while, twirling the baton. The darkness made it quite effective. I'm unsure of the flaming fuel source, but the dancer was able to smear enough of it on the ground to create a trail of flames. A nice action shot of his twirling prowess. Yeah, pretty neat trick. Still on his back in the sand, he was creative about his twirling. At the half-way time, he switched to two batons. Yes, he placed the flaming batons on his tongue, too. His aerial twirls were my favorite, as he's doing here. He was deft at hendling the batons, and I'm sure that it required some concentration. His troop watched his as closely as the audience, and it's obvous that they're impressed, too. As he ends his show, he's shining in sweat and probably tired from the attention he paid to those batons. My favorite photo of the set. He's a true showman and relishes his performance. Good for him.
