Packing and Arrival in French Polynesia

Just a few photos of packing the meager supplies and equipment needed for a two-week maintenance trip to Wings.  I've got to take my angle grinder for a few jobs, but otherwise, it's simple stuff.  Work, perhaps simple, but the flight from Seattle to Papeete seemed interminable.

Back at home, this is the package of our old emergency tiller (arm and fitting), and our new masthead VHF antenna, padded with my raincoat.

I spent the first night in French Polynesia sleeping on a bench in the airport.  Rooms are expensive for a 6 hour nap.  This is the airport cafe, Le Aviation, that we often use.  The kid on the bench never awakened while I was there.

The Air Tahiti desk at 7AM.  Air Tahiti is the local, inter-island airlines, while Air Tahiti Nui is the international branch.
