Leg 4: Exploring the Sea of Cortez, Part 1

Wings spent the 2011/12 winter in La Paz, on the hard in the Atalanta Marina. We returned her to the water on March 8, 2012. We fit her out, and strolled northward, hosting family and friends for two weeks. We stopped in Loreto, Isla Espriritu Santo, and a few other small places, but this leg, different than any other, will be a simple journey of exploration with no definite destinations. We put Wings to bed in early May at the San Carlos Marina Seca (dry storage). We hired some excellent workers to varnish all exterior wood , fabricate a full boat cover, and fabricate a stainless steel arch to support the wonderful solar panels. We decommisioned her and flew back to AK for summer.
